Online presence and professional narratives

E-portfolios generate learning because they provide an opportunity and virtual space for students to critically assess their academic work, to reflect on that work, and make connections among different courses, assignments, and other activities, such as work experience, extracurricular pursuits, volunteering opportunities, and more.

By and large, we can talk about 3 kinds of e-portfolios: assessment, learning and career. The latter will give teachers the tools they need to highlight their accomplishments, demonstrate their skills, and stand out online. After all, a professional e-portfolio is a method of self-discovery and confidence building.
