I chose to take part in an Erasmus+ project, and for some reason I still felt it being very scary and dangerous, and that there would be a lot of work to do. But I was completely wrong, so sit tight, relax, and get ready to read about my experience of my trip to Spain.
It all started with my own teachers back in Denmark, we had some homework to do, we watched a movie, and just had to show up for some lessons. We all were so motivated about this Erasmus+ project, so it all was great. At the end, we all got to go to Spain to do some activities and to see how the Spanish schools were like. We watched the movie, wrote a review, and prepared our debate skills.
After all the weeks of preparation, we were on a flight to Spain, amazing right? Our host families who we had to be with for a week and took care of us, picked us up at the Spanish airport. They told us a lot about Spain and Spanish culture, and just all in all the surroundings in Spain.
We had to go to school every day, and it was very hard because the schooldays were so long, and it was completely new for us, but they were fun, no doubt in that. The things we had to do were scary for me because I did not know any of the people, but it was only scary at the start. Right after I got to know them it all seemed normal. There were some presentations, sports, and group work.
We prepared the debate speech, introduced our own country with a video and some candy, make a video, and heard some speeches.
This trip was all worth it, and I do not regret one single thing about it. The work I did for the trip before, at the trip, and after was all worth it for what I got out of it, it has been fantastic.
If I could choose to do it again, I would say yes immediately and not even hesitate.
If you ever get a chance to participate in something like this, don’t hesitate and say yes, trust me, you won’t regret it!
