January. Interviews with students, who have applied for the project and election of the six students, who will take part in Episode II. Preparing for Episode II by running an elective project course titled “Human Dignity & Freedom; studying film literacy, learning English, watching the film (Wonder) and writing film reviews. Special timetables were made, so the students had the time to prepare the visit in Spain. Booked flights and accommodation.

February. Continuing with before Episode II activities; focusing on the topic of human dignity in the light of European refugee crisis; studying the basics of (classroom) debate. The students get to know their host families in Spain.

March. Every day in Spain the Danish team sent a film (like a diary) to 10iCampus in Denmark. These films were every five days also brought on the local media’s Facebook page. Disseminating the outcomes of Episode II. Uploading the project in Twinspace on eTwinning and uploading the school’s homepage. Planned a huge event for the whole school in our auditorium for the presentation of Episode II, where the film about the whole Episode II would have been shown, and the six students would also have presented and evaluated the visit in Spain.

April. Teachers make a virtual teaching plan on how to make a blog post and on how to update their Twinspace account on eTwinning. The students make the blog post and update their Twinspace account.

May. Updating the e-Portfolio – both students and teachers.

June.  The five of the six students met at school to finish their e-portfolios and sent the link to the teachers. The meeting finished at the local McDonalds’, where we evaluated the project and said good-bye to each other and thanked each other for a great time in GRIT. One student had unfortunately fallen ill. All six students will continue studying at Varde Gymnasium (grammar school). They promised to keep in contact – and said, that they gladly would take part in a presentation and branding of the project to the new students of 10iCampus. The Certificate of Attendance of the project was copied and placed as a extra document in the six participating students’ school certificates.

July.  A video conference was held (episode III) – Among other things we discussed two important questions in the light of our project’s’ learning and teaching activities:

  1. Is our role as teachers to simply facilitate or can we still step in and demand high, even a little?
  2. Is it possible in the ever-digital world stand for deep learning or do we have to come to terms with shallow learning?

The video conference was held in a kind and professional atmosphere.

10iCampus has applied to become an eTwinning school – and has succeeded to get the eTwinning school label. (There are nine eTwinning schools all-in-all in Denmark)

August.  The GRIT-project was presented for the international track at 10iCampus – and the students were thrilled about the whole thing. We hope the visit – EPISODE V: The Rule of Law & Human Rights – in Denmark in week 10 in 2021 will be great.

September.  A presentation about the international work on 10iCampus was given at a conference in Varde with the title “A joint view upon Europe”. Officials from the National Office in Copenhagen were especially invited to hear about the international work in the local schools in the southern part of Jutland of Denmark. Teachers, directors of education, people from eTwinning National Support Service (NSS) and local consultants took part. It was a great dissemination act 😊.

A free Doodle poll was created for the next meeting among the partners of the project – the result is the 22nd of September. We have applied for an ADDENDUM TO THE GRANT AGREEMENT KA229-2019-080. (Additional financial and contractual rules only applicable to projects organizing virtual activities due to Covid-19)
