For me, the time in Valencia was very nice. At first, I felt a bit awkward, because I was in a city, a country and with a family I didn’t know. But later I had so much fun with the family and everything else.

I think it was a great decision to participate because I improved my English. We had no choice but to speak English, because I couldn’t speak Spanish or any of the other languages. I also thought that I would be afraid of speaking English but I wasn’t. I got used to it very quickly. We all became very good friends over time and we’re still in contact with each other now.

The family I stayed with was so nice and funny. I was very lucky that I wasn’t alone in the family, so I could still talk to someone in my language. I was afraid of the thought that maybe the host parents couldn’t speak English so we couldn’t talk to them but they could and sometimes we communicated with our hands. The family said that we were always welcome and they gave us presents.

I thought it would be good and fun in Spain but it was way better than I expected. I’m very grateful for this chance and for being a part of the Erasmus+ project.
