I\u2019ve always wanted to take part in an Erasmus+ project, but it has always seemed to be scary and too much of work. Fear not, because I am about to tell you about my experience \u2013 how I signed up; the work I had to do; the fun I had; and if it was worth it.<\/p>\n
When my teacher first brought it up, I didn\u2019t think much of it until I dug deeper into the project a bit more by myself. I realized that all I had to do was to write a letter of motivation to the teacher, show up to lessons, do some homework. As a result, I got to go to Spain to take part in fun activities for free! These activities seemed scary, but we knew that we would prepare for them beforehand. And that\u2019s exactly what we did \u2013 we watched a film, wrote our opinion on the film in our review, and prepared for our debate speech. Everything went really quickly and the homework we had to do was a normal amount.<\/p>\n
Then, before I knew it, I was already flying to Spain. I met up with my new family, who\u2019d be taking care of me now for the week (I was not alone in a family, I was with another Estonian!) and I had to go to school every day. Schooldays were long but fun. I got to talk with other students from other countries, make new friends and participate in many different activities together. The activities were not scary at all; they were just some presentations, preparing and participating in a debate, introducing our countries and eating candy, making a video and drawing. And all with my new friends!<\/p>\n
Finally, this project was a fun learning experience. The work I did for the trip was all worth it! And the project isn\u2019t over yet. I might get to meet my new friends once again next year, and I\u2019m ready to do all the work needed for another similar experience.<\/p>\n
If you get a chance to participate in a similar kind of project, don\u2019t wait until it gets full \u2013 sign yourself up, you won\u2019t regret it!<\/p>\n
